SYCEDA is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, operated primarily by non-paid volunteers in the US and China.

SPOTLIGHT Events
Robotics Competitions
Throughout the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 academic school years, the 47 robotics teams ( Thunder/ Overfilled Jelly Doughnuts, etc. ) from Evergreen Middle School were sponsored by Sunshine Youth to participate in regional events. They were able to acquire team gear and purchase supplies to practice with. Through their outstanding performance at regional competitions, the teams were able to advance to the state Vex IQ competition, where they had a solid performance.
2019-2020学年和2020-2021学年，阳光青少年教育基金会持续赞助常青中学47支机器人团队(雷电队/果冻甜甜圈队等)参加区域性活动。使得他们能够打造团队装备并购买余外装备供日常练习使用。通过他们在区域比赛中的出色表现，不少队伍得以晋级至州一级的Vex IQ竞赛，并取得优异成绩。
Culture Learning Trips to China
We took trips to China and were able to connect with numerous schools and educational centers. By conversing and collaborating with teachers and principals, as well as volunteers from England who were looking to teach English to nearby students, we were able to connect with the area’s educational environment. Through presentations regarding American culture and discussions about the differing lifestyles and cultures, we learned a lot about the lives of students in China and helped them learn about our lives as well.

Culture Learning Camps in Seattle
Since the summer of 2017, we have been able to allow many families to visit the Seattle region and introduce them to our community as well as give them a chance to explore the region. We held many events, such as introducing children to baseball through a local high school baseball athlete and holding picnics in the lush parks of Seattle.

Food with Love
Through Food with Love, we partnered with around 30 local Chinese restaurants and other nonprofit organizations. Their generous actions allowed us to package meals and send them to local hospitals and healthcare facilities around the region.
